Your Therapist!

Hello, I’m Gina Platten, LCSW, founder of Mindful Innovations Counseling, LLC. Since 2016, I have provided evidence-based psychotherapy using a holistic, person-centered approach. I consider the whole person—including the mind-body connection—to help clients navigate life’s challenges. My clinical approach is supportive and practical, incorporating feedback, reflection, individualized strategies, and therapeutic homework when helpful. Clients can expect an actively engaged therapist who works alongside them and is deeply invested in helping them create meaningful, lasting change.I support clients of all ages in unpacking the emotional impact of trauma, navigating anxiety and depression, developing practical strategies for ADHD and autism-related challenges, and building greater confidence and resilience.Couples: are a strong focus of my practice, including relationship trauma, chronic conflict, toxic cycles, emotional disconnection, unresolved hurt, and communication difficulties. I also support couples navigating separation, developing heathier boundaries, reducing conflict, and building respectful co-parenting relationships.Families: I help create a space where each person can feel heard and understood while working through conflict, healing emotional hurts, improving communication, and rebuilding connection and trust.Beyond my practice, I treasure time with my neurodiverse family, volunteer at church, and enjoy domestic and international travel. I’m a proud military spouse, avid reader, and lifelong learner with a passion for psychotherapy and exploring a wide range of topics.
